Curriculum

Bharatanrityam dance is very demanding and requires a lot of training. It is necessary for the performer to train  each of the muscle groups independently and perform in different speed levels and to maintain pace. Therefore the curriculum in Nrityavidyalaya caters through the various movements of the body, respective exercices and theory lessons taken from  Bharata Muni's  "Nataysastra" .

THEORETICAL ASPECT... of this art has interested Narayanee equally and she who has imbibed her guru's eagerness to bridge the gap between theory and practice, has participated in various lecture demonstration. She has produced a paper on the "Vritti and pravritti in Natya Sastra" at a teenager's symposium. She has also presented a paper on "Lokadharmi and Natyadharmi" and "Ashta Nayikas".She loves to pass on the theoretical aspects of bharatanrityam to all her students and conducts classes on the same.
